We talk about Seattle a LOT these days.
Because June brought us RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.
And Utah has become extraordinarily green
like our neighbors in the Northwest.
The mountain carpet at the entrance of the canyon
is simply LUSCIOUS.

is simply LUSCIOUS.
There's been joyful singing
from the river as it cascades over quartzite boulders.
And choirs of wildflowers!
The flora below reminds me of dear Dr. Seuss.
These petite flowers range from deep blue to deep purple,
and every color in between.

Wild roses line the trail near the base of the canyon.
Their fragrance carries me up the trail
and there's absolutely no effort in hiking when they're in bloom.

Ginger,
These are amazing! Just gorgeous. Did you find the sego lily?
I found the sego lily just 200 yards from the Rock Canyon trailhead. It's a beauty, don't you think?
Lovely, lovely. We went riding up the south fork a couple of weeks ago and saw these flowers all over the trail. Harder to get good shots of them from the back of a busy horse. I'm so glad you got them from the ground. I wouldn't mind if we did turn a little more Oregon-ish. Lately, we're back to desert. But then, alfalfa hay doesn't thrive in civilized conditions -
the quality of your photo work is superb, buy the way.
oh Ginger, you're making me homesick! Aren't our mountains amazing?
So beautiful!!!
